7 Adelaide Hills Wineries With Vineyard Accommodation

If you'd like to visit the Adelaide Hills for more than a day, and perhaps make a weekend of it with family or friends (check out the wonderful Adelaide Hills food and wine festivals), why not book accommodation actually on the vineyards? Here's seven wineries looking forward to welcoming you.

Anvers' Yacca Cottage is a weatherboard bungalow sleeping up to 10 people, sited between Hahndorf and McLaren Vale. Bedroom 1 has a king bed, bedroom 2 has a king bed and toddler's cot, bedroom 3 has a double bed and bedroom 4 has a king bed and single bed. Stroll next door to Anvers Cellar Door for lunch Thursday through Sunday. It's a 10-minute drive to Yangarra Estate, and to Karrawatta Wines.

Barristers Block in Woodside, has the Vigneron Villa (pictured) which sleeps up to six people in three large bedrooms. Country luxury with views of the vineyards in the distance, horses, geese and young deer in the foreground, it makes a lovely weekend getaway. Vigneron Villa is walking distance to Melba's Chocolates and Lobethal Bakery in Woodside, and a quick 6-minute drive to both Petaluma and Bird In Hand wineries.

Cobbs Hill Estate (pictured) has the beautifully decorated Greenleaf Vineyard Cottage, boasting one king bed and two queen beds, two bathrooms (one with Jack-and-Jill dual access), fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine, combustion wood fire, and patio with vineyard views. It's adjacent to the Cobb's Hill Estate winery, a 13-minute walk to Lenswood Cider Co, and around 10 minutes' drive to Nepenthe, Shaw + Smith and The Lane wineries.

Deviation Road has a lovingly restored 1940s two-bedroom workers cottage. Loftia Cottage, surrounded by protected heritage bushland and abundant wildlife, has a wood fire for cool nights, 55" smart TV and bean bag along with a 3-seater sofa to chill out, and blackout blinds so you don't wake up too early! Surrounded by bushland walking trails, it's a 5-minute drive to Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary and to Stirling.

Longview Vineyard offers 12 individual king suites, The Homestead which can be booked for a group of 10 or divided to accommodate four separate sets of guests, Longview Lodge to sleep 8 in four king-size bedrooms (slide open the glass doors off the open-plan living and dining area to enjoy the verandah) and its newest accommodation, The Cranston (pictured) for 8 guests. Take some time to book a treatment or two at its Day Spa. It's a short drive from Gilbert's Motor Museum, Jurlique Farm, and Macclesfield Hotel, renowned for its schnitzels.

Mt Bera Vineyards has a 4-bedroom 1880s stone cottage to rent. Three bedrooms have queen-size beds, the fourth a double bed. Enjoy the open fire place, ducted heating, and heated bathroom floors in winter, and beautiful views over the Torrens Valley. It is at the northern end of the Adelaide Hills, making it only 30 minutes drive from the Barossa Valley, but 10-15 minutes drive from Pike & Joyce, Lobethal Bierhaus, Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard and Golding Wines.

Simon Tolley Lodge (pictured) is set within 32 acres of Simon Tolley Wines. The luxury five-bedroom, three-bathroom accommodation has vineyard and hill views from every room. Enjoy the use of two lounge rooms, indoor and outdoor entertaining, a private bar and 12pm check-in and check-out. It's a 13-minute walk to The Butcher's Pantry, a popular roadside stall selling seasonal produce, baked goods, preserves and dips, local goods and ready-to-eat meals, and a 4-minute drive to both Petaluma and Bird in Hand Winery.
