The mighty Coonawarra wine region in South Australia will become the 13th in our range of Australian wine region map tea towels, and the fifth one for the state, joining Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, Clare Valley and McLaren Vale.
As with all wine region map tea towels in our range, we've selected about 15 wonderful wineries ranked four stars or more on the James Halliday Wine Companion, with a cellar door open to the public. To help drive and encourage wine tourism, we also feature about 15 accommodation properties from motels to luxury resorts so visitors stay longer (and put more money into the local economy), and about 15 local attractions to appeal to a wider range of interests.
Coonawarra is an easy 40-minute drive from Mount Gambier, popularly chosen as an overnight stay for drives between Adelaide and Melbourne.
Our Coonawarra wine region map tea towel will be available for retail purchase from late January 2024.
