The Canberra Wine District’s annual Stomp Festival is occurring 17-19 April 2026.
6-7.30pm, Friday 17 April
Kick off the Stomp Festival with a 90-minute wine tasting at Cellar Door in the City At East Hotel in Kingston. Sample a handpicked selections of five wines from the Canberra District wineries, from delicate Pinot to crisp Riesling, complemented by an antipasto platter, as you chat with the winemakers. $49 per person.
11am, 12.30pm, 2pm, Saturday 18 April
Get your shoes off and jump onto a barrel of grapes and swelch that sticky mess beneath your toes as you experience Grape Stomping at Mount Majura Vineyard at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm. There's prizes for those who extract the most juice! $30 per person.

Visit the Canberra and Region Visitor Information Centre for A Taste of Vintage. Here local winemakers will serve you six Canberra District wines, from recent 2026 bottlings as well as older vintages and museum wines so you can taste the depth of maturation, in a 30-minute session. $10 per group.
2-5pm
Try Riesling Vertical And a Plate of Germany at Lerida Estate Wines. At this event you'll sip vertical tastings of riesling, including a slightly sweet sparkling Federweisser, accompanied by traditional German fare of sausage, sauerkraut, pretzel and potato salad, finishing with butterscotch schnapps. Polka music adds to the German theme. $35 per person.
11am-12pm, 3-4pm Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April
At The Masterclass at Corang Estate, winemaker Michael Byron will take you through five guided wine tastings of such varieties as Riesling, Chardonnay and Shiraz as well as some of the lesser-known wines, followed by cheese and nibbles. Classes limited to 12 per session. $25 per person.
1-2.30pm, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April
Come to McKellar Ridge Wines and get Caught RedHanded! Have a hands-on experience behind the scenes, plunging and tasting fermenting red wines, and assessing wines like a winemaker. Complete your visit with a wine tasting with cheese. $20 per person.
