One delicacy after another, the Makers of Murrumbateman Moving Feast is an immersive feast of new culinary experiences. Spend your weekend, from 4–5 October, roving from maker to maker, indulging in delicious food and wine, and taking in the beautiful countryside along the way, with savoury dishes $30 per person and dessert $25 each.
Barton Estate is set to serve Moroccan-style lamb and chickpeas, slow-cooked in fragrant spice and saffron, and garnished with crunchy almonds, carrot salad, and pita bread. Dessert is the famous Raspberry Dark chocolate mousse, served with fresh raspberries and whipped cream, plus a Sparkling Glen Malbec.
Blackwattle Alpaca Farm is bringing a trio of sliders: cheesy beef, slow-cooked lamb, & spiced Mexican chicken with slaw. Served with crisp cider on the side. You can also book their farm tour ($25 per person) for 30 minutes in the paddock surrounded by their happy herd of alpacas and llamas eating from a bucket filled with tasty treats!
Dionysus Winery Duck tart meets beetroot & Pinot relish, walnuts, and feta with Gamay in tow. Sweet side? Woo Chocolates’ lamington tart with raspberry fruit, coconut & chocolate ganaches, matched with bold Shiraz.
Gallagher Wines Smoked salmon on potato rosti, citrus dill labneh & zesty greens. Dessert is a Black Forest trifle layered with chocolate cake, cherries, vanilla labneh, and Shiraz nectar.
Granitevale Estate will be plating slow-cooked Lamb Shank Korma served on a bed of steamed rice, and paired with any glass of wine of your choice. Dessert is an indulgent banoffee pavlova: banana, caramel, chocolate, and almond toppings.
McKellar Ridge Beef Bourguignon pies made with Shiraz, served with tomato relish—and a roasted vegetable frittata alternative if you like. Dessert: lemon curd tartlet, double cream, berry coulis, shining next to their barrel-aged Chardonnay.
Murrumbateman Winery Indulge in a true delicacy of traditional Italian cuisine. Calamari stuffed with breadcrumbs, raisins, pine nuts, and diced caciotta, paired with our 2024 Fiano. Dessert: cherry & lavender almond cake (gluten-free) with vanilla ice cream and their 2024 Sangiovese rosé.
Shaw Estate Enjoy juicy roast pork shoulder rolling in crispy crackling & slaw in a ciabatta roll, matched with their award-winning Tempranillo. Dessert: crisp cannoli with lemon ricotta & pistachios paired with a Botrytis Semillon.
Tallagandra Winery is dishing up Beef & Guinness stew from Mary’s kitchen over creamy mash (veg/vegan option) poured with their Great Ron Songbook Shiraz. Dessert is citrus cheesecake with their Prodigal Daughter Vermentino.
Vineyard 1207 Grazing platter of cured meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, and their original Shiraz or Chardonnay wine paste (GF and Vegetarian available). Served with your choice of wine.
Wins Creek Meadery Experience medieval vibes: wild venison stew or vegan pottage, slow-cooked with herbs and paired with mead or craft beer. Dessert: elderberry & pear tart with chestnut honey drizzle (vegan option), paired with cherry or mulled mead.
Yarrh Wines Come and tuck into the Yarrh Cassoulet and enjoy a Casarecce pasta tossed in a pork & fennel ragu, matched with Fiano or Sangiovese. Dessert: traditional cannoli with non-vintage Vin Santo, ride-or-die duo for finishers.
